Position Overview

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a professional sales team, developing successful sales strategies, and ensuring every customer enjoys a positive buying experience. You will play a vital role in maximizing profitability, increasing market share, and achieving targeted sales and profit margins.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train, develop, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Create and implement effective sales strategies tailored to customer needs
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction throughout the purchase process
  • Oversee all sales paperwork and data compliance according to local regulations
  • Maximize profitability on all sales transactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager

Work Environment

This is an in-person role based at our dealership in Hammond, LA. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and varied hours to support dealership operations.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of automotive sales management experience, or at least three years of proven sales success if transitioning from a salesperson role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively
  • Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to achieving results
  • Knowledgeable in dealership sales operations and assertive in driving sales processes
  • Results-driven, highly motivated, and energetic personality
  • Experience in used car buying or appraising is a plus
  • Automotive manufacturer master sales or management certifications are advantageous
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
